Download Festival 2014 Lineup Kicks Off In Style

Yesterday, the prestigious Download Festival 2014 started to look pretty damn tasty with the news that, not unlike Soundwave 2014, Avenged Sevenfold and Rob Zombie will be among those performing and now the legendary event is starting to look even more massive with the inclusion of Linkin Park.

The good news doesn’t stop there, either. Speaking of their plans for the iconic event, Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington has explained that there is no better place for them to see-through a plan that the band have been concocting for some time now:

“We have been kicking around the idea of playing ‘Hybrid Theory’ for some time and the perfect opportunity is Download 2014. The legendary energy of the Download crowd is the apex of the rock experience and we are very excited to share this special night with them.”

Hybrid Theory gave birth to generation defining anthems such as Paper Cuts, One Step Closer and of course In The End. The album would go on to pave the way for their critically acclaimed 2003 follow up Meteora which would catapult the band to the top, where they have stayed ever since.

More bands are expected to be revealed in the coming weeks. Stand by for dem all too familiar FOMO feels.
