aUK acoustic pop star Ed Sheeran has announced he’ll be returning to Australia and New Zealand in 2015 for his biggest tour in both countries to date. Sheeran will be headlining arenas completely solo, making him the first musician in 20 years to take on such a feat.
Equipped with only an acoustic guitar, loop pedal, and his own set of pipes, the 23-year old Sheeran will transform what should be an intimate gig setup into a big room performance to rival any stadium act.
Sheeran will also make his upcoming tour equally affordable for all fans, with each ticket being priced at $99, plus BF, no matter if the seat is in the nosebleeds or the front row. Head of Frontier Touring Michael Gudinski explained Sheeran wants to make his shows as accessible as possible.
“Ed wanted to ensure that his shows were accessible to all of his fans. It’s incredibly rare these days to have all tickets at one price in arena venues but Ed wanted to make it happen,” stated Gudinski.

UPDATE 02/10/14: Ed Sheeran has announced the addition of extra shows to his forthcoming Australia-New Zealand tour. After recently added second shows in Melbourne and Sydney quickly sold out, Sheeran confirmed the addition of third shows for both cities as well as a second show for Adelaide.
