Gypsy & The Cat Announce New Album & National Tour Oct/Nov 2012

Gypsy & The Cat’s debut record Gilgamesh saw the band rise through the ranks of triple j’s Unearthed and go on to gain national attention and adulation. Now the Melbourne duo are back with their sophomore record The Late Blue, due out on October 19.

To celebrate the release The Late Blue, the boys are hitting the road for a 5-stop tour that begins on October 26 and spreads across the country. So far fans have gotten a shot of the new material in the form of lead single Sorry, which has been getting plenty of airplay. The upcoming show will give ticket holders the chance to be amongst some of the first audiences to experience the new music live.

The Late Blue was written, recorded and produced by Gypsy & The Cat’s Xavier Bacash and Lionel Towers and mixed by Dave Fridman, who has previously worked with the likes of MGMT and Flaming Lips. The new LP will be released via the band’s own label Alsatian Music. Independent music, baby! You gotta’ love it!
