Hear 5 Seconds Of Summer Attempt To Cover Bring Me The Horizon

5 Seconds Of Summer have had a crack at covering Bring Me The Horizon and it doesn’t suck but chances are you’ll probably hate it anyway.

The Aussie pop punks tried their teeny-bopper hands at BMTH’s emotional rock anthem Drown – off their divisive but awesome That’s The Spirit LP – for their recent appearance at BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge (which is basically triple j’s Like A Version for poms).

Obvies their version doesn’t measure up to the shining and triumphant brilliance of the original, but props for wheeling in a full string section and rocking it acoustic style.

During their cameo, 5SOS were also confirmed as headliners for the BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards, which are scheduled to take place on November 8th. While their new album, Sounds Good, Feels Good is due to drop on Friday, 23rd October.

In the meantime, you can catch Drown songsmiths Bring Me The Horizon, Aria chart-topping new album in hand, rocking the pit at Soundwave 2016.
