Bring Me The Horizon Are Playing Soundwave 2016

UPDATE 17/12/15 5.50pm: Soundwave 2016 has been officially cancelled.

On the same day that they their fifth studio album That’s The Spirit drops into our laps, British metalcore giants-turned-stadium rockers Bring Me The Horizon have become the seventh band to be announced on the bill for Soundwave 2016.

It’s the first chance BMTH fans will get to see Oli Sykes & co crank out some of the monster new tunes off their game-changing LP live in the tattooed flesh.

The Sheffield fivesome join a bill that currently features Northlane, Swedish hardcore act Refused, Los Angeles alt-rockers Failure, Brisbane rockers Dead Letter Circus, Welsh metal outfit Bullet For My Valentine and the 2006 Eurovision winners, Lordi.

Soundwave boss AJ Maddah has also just dropped a massive hint about next year’s headliner, revealing that the monster act in question has never played the festival before.

The Soundwave lineup will continue to arrive as a drip feed next week, with two or three more acts to be announced. Then, once early bird tickets are taken off sale, a set of 22 bands will be unveiled.

The Soundwave 2016 bill is tipped to be “heavier” than usual and will also put the onus on “better bands and longer sets”.
