Japanese Wallpaper Announces East Coast EP Tour With Montaigne

Teen indie electro whiz Japanese Wallpaper is about to release a new EP, and to celebrate, he’s hitting the road with art pop act Montaigne for an East Coast run.

17-year-old wunderkind Gab Strum will perform five dates across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane this July in the lead up to his set at the now sold out Splendour In The Grass festival. He’s even thrown in two shows for the under 18’s crowd to honour the release of his fresh slab of electronica, which is headed up by last month’s lead single Forces, featuring Airling (below).

“It is a collection of everything I’ve released from the past few years as well as an exclusive track that you’ll only be able to hear if you buy the EP :’)” the multi-instrumental young gun announced via Facebook. “Pre-order info for limited 12″ vinyl and digital is coming soon.”

Japanese Wallpaper’s East Coast EP tour comes hot on the heels of the young artist’s gigs at this year’s Secret Garden festival and support slot for Highasakite on their debut Australian tour, which he nabbed after taking out the triple J Unearthed High competition in 2014.

Japanese Wallpaper’s self-titled EP is due out this June on Zero Through Nine via Inertia.
