The Killers Announce New Album ‘Wonderful Wonderful’, Drop Funky New Single ‘The Man’

Las Vegas rockers The Killers have announced their new album Wonderful Wonderful, which will be their first album in five years and the follow-up to 2012’s Battle Born.

To herald the album’s announcement, Brandon Flowers and co. have dropped the record’s funky first single ‘The Man’, which Flowers says “kinda sounds like David Bowie walking down the strip”. Stream the track in full, below.

Wonderful Wonderful features contributions from Dire Straits’ Mark Knopfler, Australian artist (and Seekae member) Alex Cameron and an instrumental from Brian Eno, but is yet to receive an official release date.

In a Facebook Live video with fans, Flowers has described the album as, “I’m trying to inhabit this 35-year-old body and brain and trying to reflect how I feel on a record.”

Earlier this month, The Killers debuted a new song called ‘Run For Cover’ at a show in Atlantic City, which is expected to be on Wonderful Wonderful.

Meanwhile, the band are reportedly set to return to Australia later this year to perform at the 2017 AFL Grand Final.
