King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard Announce Album Launch Parties

Written by Zanda Wilson on February 14, 2017

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard have just announced that they’ll play three special album launch parties next month to honour the release of their new record Flying Microtonal Banana.

The record will be the first of five studio albums that the band will release in 2017, is also their ninth album over the past five years. The record has largely been inspired by Stu’s specially made microtonal electric guitar that’s shaped like a flying V (hence ‘Flying Microtonal Banana’)

The shows will be going down across two nights in the boys’ home town of Melbourne exclusively, with two 18+ and one all ages show to take place between Saturday, 18th and Sunday, 19th March.

Each show will see King Gizzard play two massive sets; one made up exclusively of the new album and another made up of all of their classic tunes. All shows are set to take place in the 360 degree, in-the-round format so you can see your boys from all angles.

Tickets go on sale on Wednesday, 15th February, and see below.
