Good Things Festival Teases First Act Ahead Of 2026 Lineup Drop Tomorrow

Sound the klaxons, dust off your battle vest and prepare to absolutely obliterate the group chat: the Good Things Festival 2026 lineup is officially dropping tomorrow.

After spending the past few weeks drip-feeding us details and politely asking everyone to “put down the pitchforks” while we wait for the actual goods, organisers have now confirmed this year’s full lineup will finally be unveiled on Tuesday, 11th August at 10am AEST.

“The earliest August announcement in Good Things history”

And it looks like they may have already slipped us our first artist.

Good Things announced the impending reveal via a social media video soundtracked by The All-American Rejects’ immortal 2000s emo-pop banger ‘Dirty Little Secret’.

Now, seasoned festival announcement detectives will know exactly what that means.

Soundtracking a lineup teaser with an artist who then magically appears on said lineup is one of the oldest tricks in the festival hype playbook, so while we won’t call anything officially confirmed until that poster lands tomorrow morning, it certainly appears Good Things is giving us a giant neon wink in the direction of The All-American Rejects.

And if our suspicions prove correct, it would mark a particularly welcome bit of unfinished business for The All-American Rejects and Aussie fans.

The Oklahoma band were originally booked to appear at Good Things Festival in 2025, but were forced to pull out at the eleventh hour following a sudden family loss, with Stand Atlantic stepping in to replace them.

“We’re heartbroken to share that due to a sudden family loss, we won’t be able to make it to Australia as planned,” The All-American Rejects said in a statement at the time.

“This has been an incredibly difficult moment for us, and as much as it devastates us to miss such a great opportunity to reconnect with our Australian fans, family has to come first.”

And, rather intriguingly in hindsight, they finished their message with a promise:

“We’ll make it up to you as soon as we’re able.”

Could Good Things 2026 be that long-awaited raincheck?

Soundtracking your lineup announcement with ‘Dirty Little Secret’ certainly isn’t doing much to convince us otherwise.

Of course, nothing is official until that lineup poster lands tomorrow morning – but if this is Good Things’ way of telling us The All-American Rejects are finally getting their Australian do-over, consider our eyebrows firmly raised.

What we do know for certain is exactly when and where Good Things will be going down this year.

The travelling heavy music circus recently confirmed it’ll return to its familiar East Coast stomping grounds this December, kicking off at Melbourne’s Flemington Racecourse on Friday, 4th December before hitting Sydney Showground on Saturday, 5th December and Brisbane Showgrounds on Sunday, 6th December.

All three events will once again be 16+.

And Good Things appears particularly keen to get the hype machine moving early this time around, spruiking tomorrow’s reveal as the “earliest August announcement in Good Things history”.

Last year certainly set one hell of a benchmark.

Good Things 2025 was topped by TOOL, making their first Australian festival appearance since 2011, alongside a frankly cooked collection of heavy hitters including Weezer, Garbage, All Time Low, Machine Head, Knocked Loose, Lorna Shore, Refused, New Found Glory, Make Them Suffer, Dayseeker, Kublai Khan TX, Goldfinger, Scene Queen, Wargasm, Windwaker and more.

So… what fresh chaos have they cooked up for 2026?

We officially have less than 24 hours to wait.

And unless Good Things is engaging in some truly elite-level trolling, we reckon The All-American Rejects may have just become our first major clue.

Catch the full Good Things Festival 2026 lineup when it drops Tuesday, 11th August at 10am AEST.
