Liam Gallagher: ‘Mumford & Sons Look Like They Have F**king Nits’

Trust Liam Gallagher to bring us one last chuckle before the year is out.

The former Oasis and now Beady Eye frontman has added Mumford & Sons to his list of pet hates – saying more than a few amusing things about the folk rock superstars.

In his latest rant about a fellow artist, The Sun reports that Gallagher ain’t a huge fan of the band’s appearance, saying “they look like they shop at Oxfam”.

“Everyone looks like they’ve got f***ing nits and eat lentil soup with their sleeves rolled up,” he added.

“They all look like they live on the heath. Maybe that’s where they record.”

Not content with their appearance, the Little Lion Man hitmakers’ overload of acoustics also got Gallagher offside.

“Everyone’s f***ing Don McLean — far too many acoustic guitars, no style,” he said.

“I wouldn’t put any posters up of any band if I was a 16-year-old lad. There’s none of that sitting down on f***ing stools for me, sweetheart.”

Gallagher recently said that Beady Eye were busy putting together their second album – one that he believes will be a real step-up from their debut Different Gear, Still Speeding.

“In five words, it’s ‘majestic’, ‘imperial’, ‘out there’ and, er, what was the other one? Oh yeah, ‘heavy’.

“It’s different to the first. It’s been heads down, none of that nonsense from the nineties. We’ve got our shit together.”
