This is the first Album from the Red Hot Chili Peppers since One Hot Minute that won’t include John Frusciante. John was replaced by RHCP touring guitarist Josh Klinghoffer in 2010 and the difference in sound is evident on The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie.
At the time John said: To put it simply, my musical interests have led me in a different direction. A couple of years ago, I began to feel excitement again, but this time it was about making a different kind of music, alone, and being my own engineer.
