Mission To Launch 2011 Line up – Canberra

Written by Brayden Darke on September 19, 2011

Canberra’s Mission To Launch Festival has announced its full line-up for this years New Year’s Eve event. Dance powerhouse, Sneaky Sound System, who were the first act to be announced, will lead the line-up along with Aussie rockabilly punk legends The Living End, and American house DJ Ian Carey.

Finding the right venue was a major consideration for the organisers. The knew they had to find somewhere that was fresh and had never before been used for a large-scale music event. Being Canberra locals themselves, it wasn’t long before their thoughts focused on the peninsula. Tucked away in parkland on the shores of Lake Burley Griffin, they stumbled upon a beautiful part of Weston Park, perfectly hidden amongst the trees and lake – The Enchanted Forest.

In order for everyone to enjoy the party in these natural surrounds, organisers are limiting capacity. Revelers can bring a rug and pillows if they want to chill out while soaking up the summer rays and atmosphere of the natural surrounds. And for those party-goers who are wanting an even more exclusive experience, VIP tickets will also be available.
