Modern Life Is War An “Active Band”, Announce Album Plans

As per a recent press release, Iowa-based hardcore crew Modern Life Is War have recanted their 2008 break up, announcing plans for a new album and shows with hints that whilst extensive touring isn’t on the cards yet it might be at some point soon.

It seems the band have been hard at work during their time off the radar. Work on a new album begin back in September of last year and the line-up now consists of original members Chris Honeck, Matt Hoffman, Jeffrey Eaton, Tyler Oleson and John Eich returning to perform under the Modern Life banner.

Nothing else has been revealed on the album but we know that the band will make their live return at This Is Hardcore in the States followed by an album release show in their hometown. It’s only early days in the second coming of Modern Life so fingers crossed more shows are announced soon.

After announcing back in 2008 that they would be continuing as a band no more, they have been very specific with the language used for the announcement, explaining, “For what it’s worth, we are not approaching this as a ‘reunion’ but rather a band with a new record that will be working to contribute something worthwhile.”

More updates to come as they are confirmed.
