Nickelback Are Touring Australia Next Year, And A Petition Won’t Stop Them

Yee-haa! Nickelback have announced they are headed to Australia in 2015 for tour of our finest arenas. The Canadian four-piece will bring the power rock to arenas across the country, so Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney, and Perth prepare yourself for a Nickelback invasion.

The good ol’ Nickels will be touring behind their new album, No Fixed Address, out today. But don’t panic if you’re more into their old stuff, the band will play new singles like Edge of a Revolution and What Are You Waiting For? along with the classics, like that song from WWE Raw… Burn It to the Ground, that’s the one.

In October a crowdfunding campaign was launched in an attempt to stop Nickelback from touring London, England. We’re not saying it would work for Australia, but if you’re so inclined there’s surely no harm in trying. Nickelback’s frontman Chad Kroeger laughed off the original campaign and said that the band’s critics are responsible for keeping them relevant.

For those champing at the bit, fan club pre-sale tickets go on sale from 10AM Monday, 17th November. My Live Nation pre-sale tickets go on sale from 2PM Tuesday, 18th November. And ticket agent pre-sale tickets go on sale from 2PM Wednesday, 19th November.

UPDATE 05/05/15: Canadian Rockers Monster Truck have outed themselves as Nickelback’s tour support, announcing the news via their social channels just over a week before the band’s Australian itinerary is due to kick off. The foursome will be joining Chad Kroeger and his merry men on all of their imminent Aussie arena dates across May.

“We are super stoked to announce we will be supporting Nickelback on their upcoming Australian tour,” Monster Truck said. “We know there have been many of you down under asking when we were gonna be coming….well the time is NOW!”
