Brendon Urie’s Panic! At The Disco have done a good dead to help out the victims of the mass shooting at Orlando’s Pulse nightclub, organising a blood drive just before their show in Miami today.
Teaming up with blood donation organisation OneBlood, Panic! will have the blood drive running for four hours in front of Miami’s Bayfront Park Amphitheater, and fans can line up to donate to the victims of Sunday’s tragic shooting.
Posting to their website, Panic! told fans they must “weigh at least 110lbs and be sober” in order to donate, and must have signed parental consent if they’re younger than 17.
Aside from Panic!’s effort, Massachusetts rockers PVRIS have released a new t-shirt benefiting the Pulse Victims Fund, while emo revivalists You Blew It! have released an EP of demos and rarities benefitting Center Orlando, an LGBT centre providing counselling following the Pulse attack.
The Pulse Victims Fund has already raised over USD$2.8 million at the time of writing, on its way to a goal of USD$5 million. To donate, visit the fund’s GoFundMe page.
The deadliest mass shooting in America’s history, the attack on Pulse Nightclub has so far claimed 49 lives and the life of the shooter.
