Big Day Out 2012 rumours and leaks are starting to come in thick and fast now, with the biggest being Pearl Jam as a ‘hot rumour’ for the festival.

Triple M music reporter and Cherry Bar (AC/DC Lane Melbourne) organiser James Young has reported the rumour to Triple M Melbourne’s Hot Breakfast this morning:
“The word is that the Big Day Out next year could [see] Pearl Jam in every [major capital] city in Australia. This would be a huge coup.”
This would be a massive draw card, and it might be needed after other festival’s ticket sales have dropped, causing them to either cancel or dumb-down their events.
More leaks have also dropped via two non-associated ‘Big day Out Spy’ Twitter accounts @BigDayOutSpy @therealbdospy, these bands are N.E.R.D, Karnivool, The Killers, Chase & Status and Opeth.
Earlier in the week, My Chemical Romance were tipped to be secured along with ‘indie acts’ Foster the People, The Shins and Cage The Elephant.
