Pendulum Are Teasing A 2017 Return On Social Media

Pendulum have fuelled the rumour that they’re reuniting in 2017 with a mysterious post on social media.

The Aussie trio who haven’t released an album for six years uploaded a picture on their socials which simply said, “Pendulum 2017…”

It’s unknown exactly what that means but a recent festival announce suggests that they’re returning to the live scene.

The band were announced on the lineup for Perth festival Origin NYE but they’ll only be playing as DJs. They’re doing the same thing at EDC Mexico but now they’ve announced a live show.

Austrian festival Nova Rock has added them to the lineup and they’ll be performing live not DJing.

It goes against what Rob Shire from the band tweeted in October after they were announced on the Origin bill.

“FYI you can ignore all the ‘Pendulum reuniting’ bullshit tweets. It’s a one-off DJ set, because we happened to be in Perth,” he said.

This latest festival addition and the social updates seem to suggest quite the opposite.

It’s pretty exciting news given that we’d basically heard radio silence from them for the past several years. Their last album was 2010’s Immersion with Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen focussing their attention on their EDM side project Knife Party.
