Reformed emos of the world rejoice! Because the band you used to laminate all over your high school binder is going to be back in action next year.
After a period of short, consecutive hiatuses A Fire Inside a.k.a. AFI will be back in the game in 2016, with bassist Hunter Burgan revealing that the band have something cooking.
Though he didn’t go in to detail about what said something was exactly, we can only hope it means new music and live shows.
The good news is, there’s plenty of time to grow your fringe back out before then.
Posting on his official website, alongside news on his own Cat With Matches comic, Burgan wrote:
“I know that many of you want to know what’s up with AFI. I can’t tell you much at the moment, but we have plans for 2016. Circle that year on your calendars.”
AFI last visited our shores for Soundwave 2014. Let’s hope this means we’ll be seeing them again soon.
