Smash Mouth Pull Out Of Aussie Dates, Suggest 2013 Return

Lords of the 90’s airwaves, Smash Mouth, have announced today that they will not be following through with their previously announced Australian tour dates. All their Aussie fans, of which I’m sure there are a few, can relax as promoters are looking to make it work sometime next year.

Big Apachee, the cats behind the tour, posted a statement today giving fans the heads-up:

Smash Mouth are reluctantly cancelling their Australia and New Zealand 2012 Tour, but will reschedule and come back in 2013. Tour promoter Big Apachee is currently in the process of rescheduling the tour for March 2013. Rescheduled dates will be announced and on sale in the coming weeks, so stay tuned.

Smash Mouth wish to apologise to all their fans for the disappointment but are glad to be able to return in 2013.

The band would be returning Down Under for only the second time in their career, bearing gifts in the form of a new album – the ode to summer, Magic. It’s looking like we’ll have to wait a bit longer to hear those, and all the tasty 90’s gems live. Keep an eye out for new dates.
