So You Wanna Contribute To Music Feeds?

Have you always fancied yourself as a bit of a writer or photographer? Are you sick of reading other people’s opinions, or looking at other people’s photos, and knowing you could do a better job? Are you tired of trolling websites, hoping that someone, somewhere will read your crazy ramblings? Do you want free concert tickets and brand new CDs?

Well, you might just be in luck. Music Feeds is constantly expanding its Hulk-like grip on the independent music scene in Australia, and right now we’re looking for some new blood. If you think you’ve got what it takes to write or shoot for us, drop us a line and we might just bring you on board with the good ship ‘Feeds.

If you’re a writer, we’d like to see some stuff you’ve written in the past. If you’re totally new to the idea, grab a CD off your shelf, knock up two hundred words about it and send it over. It doesn’t have to be fantastic, we just want to see something to get a feel for your writing style.

If you’re a photographer, we’ll need to have a look at some shots from gigs you’ve been to (happy snaps won’t do here – it’s a totally different beast to be in a dimly lit room, frantically scrambling for good shots of a band, trust me), so be sure to provide links in your email so that we can see what you’re made of.

We’re looking for willing contributors from all across the mighty land down under, so wherever you are be sure to get in touch and if you’ve got some skills we’ll start putting your name on guest lists in your area for some of the biggest and best indie concerts around. Show us some good results, and doors will start opening at gigs by international touring artists too.

All enquiries should be directed to dan@musicfeeds.com.au. Oh, and put something like ‘I Wanna Rock and Roll All Night’ in the subject line so I know what the hell you’re talking about.
