Dates for Splendour in the Grass 2011 were announced yesterday, and today the first band has been revealed.
English band The Vaccines will be coming to Australia for Splendour in July, as was confirmed by the band’s guitarist, Freddy Cowan who spoke to Adelaide Music + Entertainment website Rip it up.
“Yep, we’re doing Splendour In The Grass,” he said. “But new things are coming all the time. We’re going to Japan first, we’re coming to Australia and I really hope we’re doing three or four festivals but we have to wait until they confirm us. I’d like to be there as long as possible because I hear amazing things about it.”
Their Debut album What Did You Expect From The Vaccines? is out on March 25th
Splendour in the Grass 2011 will take place at Woodfordia site for the second time on 29, 30 and 31st of July.
More bands, and a proper Line-up should be announced in the coming month or so.
