Suze DeMarchi To Cover Adele, The Clash And More On New Solo Album ‘Home’

Suze DeMarchi, front-woman of legendary Australian band Baby Animals, has announced her first solo LP in 15 years featuring collaborations with a stellar list of Aussie talent.

Jimmy Barnes, Tex Perkins, Diesel, Shane Nicholson and more are all set to appear on tracks from DeMarchi’s second solo album titled Home.

The record features 11 cover songs that all centre around the theme of home. The covers include Adele’s Hometown Glory, The Clash’s Safe European Home and Sheryl Crow’s Home.

“I’ve always been drawn to stories about Home, and love many songs about Home that resonate with me now as much as they did during the years I was away. I find myself humming them daily. To celebrate my journey I’ve recorded an album of some of those songs, with some friends, and with those I admire.”

Home follows her 1999 solo album Telelove. Baby Animals’ last record was 2013’s This Is Not The End, the fourth album of the band’s career which has spanned more than two decades.

In a video (below), DeMarchi revealed that Home will be released alongside a book with photos and stories as well as artwork.

Home is set to be released on 24th July. Checkout the tracklist below.
