The Paper Kites Calling On Melbourne Fans To Help Film New Music Video

Written by Greg Moskovitch on September 5, 2013

Rising indie-folk stars The Paper Kites want your face. The Melbourne five-piece are getting ready to launch their latest single, titled Young and they want you to get involved in the ambitious new music video for the track.

The Paper Kites have partnered with Oh Yeah Wow, an award-winning film and animation company, to craft a unique video to promote Young. Their idea is to photograph hundreds of unique-looking faces (like yours), with each person shot multiple times in various facial poses, matching their mouth shapes to the lyrics of Young. Oh Yeah Wow will then edit the 500+ photos together into a stop-motion extravaganza, with each person singing part of the song.

What The Paper Kites and co. need to make this happen is you and your face, and even your friends’ faces. Just shoot an email to oyw.studio@gmail.com along with your availability (date and time, the shoot will take about an hour of your time), a photo of you and your contact phone number.

Once production is over, you’ll be able to download and keep your own professional portrait and be a part of a widely-seen music video!
