The Vivid LIVE Parties a a series of different themed events all held in The Studio from May 25 – June 2. Today the Sydney Opera House revealed that this years Vivid LIVE Parties will be presented by local labels and music promoters. Over 5 nights Future Classic, Modular, Penny Drop/FBi Radio, Niche Productions and Goodgod Small Club will present 5 different parties each with their unique style and sound.
Friday 25 May, Niche Productions presents two underground hip-hop acts Detroit’s Danny Brown and LA’s MED. Assisting these two emcees in making their first Australian appearance will be Ellesquire and Halfway Crooks DJs.
Saturday 26 May sees Modular take control of the Studio with three sublime acts in that cover rock, dance and pop in Uk’s Tom Vek and Kindness and Australian act Jonathan Boulet.
Saturday June 1, Sydney-based club hosts Future Classic command The Studio via an all out electro dance battle royale with Isolée, Jacques Renault, Flume, Future Classic DJs, Andy Webb, Shunji & Stelle Bonus and Pelvis.
Sunday June 2, will see the close of this years Vivid LIVE Parties under the guidance of Sydney’s Goodgod Small Club. Bringing a wide variety of sounds The Studio will be bouncing and rocking too the tunes of Egyptian Lover, Nicky Da B, Prince Zimboo, No Zu, Geoffrey O’Connor, Donny Benét, Straight Arrows, Levins, Yo Grito DJs and Goodgod Sound Unlimited.
Thursday 31 May, Penny Drop and FBi Radio the Australian debuts of Zola Jesus and Light Asylum along with Melbourne outfit Forces.
Vivid LIVE at Sydney Opera House (25 May – 3 June) is part of Vivid Sydney (25 May – 11 June), the city’s annual celebration of light, music and ideas.
