Watch All Time Low Cover Sia’s ‘Elastic Heart’

Baltimore pop punks All Time Low have tackled Sia‘s chart-scorcher Elastic Heart for a special instalment of BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge program (kind of like the cockney version of Like A Version from what we can gather).

The Soundwave 2015 storm-beaters tried their hands at an acoustic-fuelled rendition of the pop hit, with frontman Alex Gaskarth providing some down-tempo crooning and tasteful string plucking.

Whether or not the cover works is really in the ear of the beholder. The choruses are definitely stronger than the verses, which see Gaskarth veering between a shaky falsetto and lower-register melodic interpretations (which he probably should have stuck with, because they sound way better).

Needless to say ATL probably won’t be donning flesh-coloured leotards and obscuring their man-pretty faces anytime soon, but good on them for trying something outside the paper bag.

Hot on the heels of their Australian tour for Soundwave 2015, All Time Low have also just released their brand-new album, Future Hearts, which marks their whopping sixth studio effort.
