Watch Marilyn Manson And Billy Corgan’s Strange Cover Of ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun’

Marilyn Manson and Smashing Pumpkins are currently on tour together in the US and some seriously weird stuff is starting to go down, with probably the weirdest so far being a joint cover of Cyndi Lauper’s Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.

With the Pumpkins’ frontman Billy Corgan dressed as a nun (as you do) and Manson taking the role of the preacher, the pair launched into the cover in Nashville, after a slightly less weird version of Manson’s Antichrist Superstar.

Fan-footage shows them deliver an acapella rendition with Corgan screaming “fun” repeatedly while Manson tries his best to sing over it. Look, stranger things have probably happened.

Corgan and Manson united on stage earlier this year in Australia while they were both playing Soundwave Festival. There were no Cyndi Lauper covers then though. Instead they played a version of Smashing Pumpkins’ Ava Adore.

They’re currently touring together as part of The End Time tour, with both acts playing full sets back-to-back. Girls Just Wanna Have Fun wasn’t the only cover Manson slipped into his set. He also played his version of Depeche Mode’s Personal Jesus and covered Eurythmics’ Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This).
