Woodford Folk Festival Could Soon Go Completely Car-Free

Written by Zanda Wilson on April 4, 2017

The organisers behind Woodford Folk Festival are calling for ideas from punters to help them go entirely car-free in the future.

The festival will host an event this month called The Planting in Woodfordia, where stacks of discussion panels are held along with a yearly tree-planting.

This year’s event will include a panel called Car-Free Woodfordia, which will encourage discussion on how it would be possible “to encourage partrons and volunteers… to leave their cars at home” and create “a car-free festival experience”.

The Planting is set to go down from Friday, 28th through Sunday, 30th April this year, with the Car-Free Woodfordia panel taking place on the Sunday at 2pm.

Tickets and information on all the other events on at The Planting can be found on the festival’s official website.
