Slipknot Announce 10 Year Anniversary Reissue Of ‘All Hope Is Gone’

Attention maggots! Slipknot’s All Hope Is Gone turns 10 this year and to celebrate they’re re-releasing the beloved 2008 album.

The landmark record’s reissue is set for release on Friday, 7th December this year and will include new and improved artwork, along with a special bonus live disc from their 2009 performance at Madison Square Garden.

In an interview with Metal Hammer former drummer, Joey Jordison said the tensions within the band during the recording of All Hope Is Gone led to them creating the heaviest record they could.

“The tensions are what made that record great. Everyone was completely on fire with emotions and being in different places, and you could see the lines in the sand, you could feel the concrete breaking a little bit,” said Jordison.

Chatting about the making of the record, frontman Corey Taylor said, “nobody was talking to each other, everybody was going behind everybody’s back trying to make the album theirs”.

Meanwhile, ICYMI: Slipknot released a new track on Wednesday 31st October dubbed ‘All Out of Life’.

The band’s expected to release a new album in 2019 and Taylor’s described it as their most experimental and ambitious to date.
