With the Aussie iteration of Download Festival happening right around the corner, metalheads around the country are getting ready to headbang and mosh like the best of them. But, Download just announced the lineup to its UK edition and a whole bunch of homegrown heroes are making the trip over to play this massive event.
The Amity Affliction, Melbourne metal fusion lords Twelve Foot Ninja, Sydney heavy alt-rock newcomers RedHook, Melbourne extreme metallers Ne Obliviscarus and Sydney pop-rockers Yours Truly (fresh from signing to UNFD and making their debut appearance at Australia’s Unify Gathering) will all be playing Download UK.
Headlined by Slipknot, Tool, Def Leppard and also featuring the likes of Die Antwoord, The Smashing Pumpkins, Eagles Of Death Metal, State Champs and more, this lineup is enough to make us drop everything and book our flights to England today.
Meanwhile ICYMI the Aussie instalment of Download is happening in March, heading to Melbourne and — for the first time ever — Sydney. The Amity Affliction and Twelve Foot Ninja are also playing the fest on home turf alongside legends Ozzy Osbourne, Slayer, Rise Against and more.
Organisers have teased a final lineup announcement happening this week.
