Neil Finn Quits Social Media Following Christchurch Terror Attack

Neil Finn is opting out of social media in response to the devastating terror attack on a mosque in Christchurch this past weekend that claimed the lives of 50 innocent New Zealanders.

The Crowded House legend and NZ native has taken to Twitter to announce that he’s quitting all forms of social media “out of respect for the grieving families of Christchurch and in consideration of their vast public tragedy”, writing that “these platforms have enabled the spread of hateful ideology and I will not participate anymore”:

In the wake of the deplorable and devastating attack, a number of social media services have been slammed for allowing users to access and share video of the terrorist’s deadly rampage, which was livestreamed via Facebook.

Meanwhile, a Victorian teenager who cracked an egg into the skull of conservative shitweed Fraser Anning following his victim-blaming comments about the Christchurch attack has been hailed a hero by the Australian music industry and offered free gigs for life.

While Westlife’s Brian McFadden, the only musician to denounce Egg Boy’s actions, has been roasted according.
