It has been a wildly turbulent few weeks for A$AP Rocky. Following his arrest and subsequent imprisonment in Sweden for an alleged assault – for which Rocky maintains his innocence – he has finally returned to the stage in America and has shared some words about the experience.
While performing at California’s Real Street festival, Rocky brought out good friend and frequent collaborator Tyler, The Creator for a performance of 2017’s ‘Who Dat Boy’. While Tyler was on stage, Rocky took a moment to speak about his experience.
“That was a scary, humbling experience but I’m here right now,” he said.
“God is good. People who ain’t even fuck with me felt sympathy and sympathetic for my situation. People was praying for me, that uplifted me when my spirits was low. I can’t thank y’all enough, man, that was crazy. Thank you so much Hip-hop never looked so strong together. We a big, strong community man.”
Consequence Of Sound reports that, before the speech, the crowd were chanting “Fuck Sweden.”
Tyler wasn’t Rocky’s only guest on stage for his live comeback. Both YG & A$AP Ferg joined him as well.
The verdict on Rocky’s case will come tomorrow, Wednesday, 14th August.
