Kanye West Declares He Will Only Make Gospel Music From Now On

While we wait – still – for Kanye West‘s anticipated new album that is now three days overdue, it’s being reported that the hip-hop legend is ditching the raps for good as he is dedicating himself to gospel music from here on out.

Jesus Is King, which was scheduled to drop on Friday but has since been pushed back to today, is coming with its accompanying film titled Jesus Is King: A Kanye West Experience – which will be released on October 25 in IMAX. But Andrew Barber of Fake Shore Drive has reportedly heard the album, and is reporting that Kanye will no longer make ‘secular’ music.

“Kanye also announced that he is no longer making secular music,” Barber tweeted. “Only Gospel from here on out.”

Of course, ‘secular’ music is up for interpretation with Kanye, as he has said that some of his previous albums, like 2016’s The Life Of Pablo are ‘gospel’ albums.

Barber also gave us some insights on the album as well, saying it features Clipse and Kenny G, and pulls beats that fans loved from West’s previous albums like 2008’s 808’s & Heartbreak and 2010’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

For now, we’ll wait for Jesus Is King with bated breath.
