K Pop Stars BTS Have Launched Online Korean Language Lessons

Good news for K-pop fans, BTS stans, and those who fancy learning Korean. BTS have launched online Korean language lessons.

BTS, one of the biggest boy bands in the world, have launched a new online platform where fans can learn the words to their songs. The platform will have songs like ‘Boy with Luv’, ‘I Need U’ and ‘Fake Love’.

They’re planning to release 30 three-minute videos — with three up on the website already. They’ve repurposed videos of the band to teach fans simple grammar and popular Korean expressions.

The BTS Korean lessons will be available on Weverse. It’s an app created by the their management company, Big Hit. We’ll be getting new instalments every Monday at 9pm Korean time. That’s 10pm AEST.

“There are only limited ways our fans could learn Korean with ease,” Big Hit Entertainment’s Founder, Bang Si-Hyuk, said.

“Big Hit has created Korean learning media using artist content for a more rewarding and immersive experience for our fans.”

The series was actually planned back in February and will use material from their reality show, Run BTS! and their Youtube series Bangtan Bombs, as well as BTS episodes.

The Seoul-based boy band released Map of the Soul: 7 back in February. They had planned a coinciding Korean tour, however it was cancelled due to COVID-19 concerns.
