Government-Seized Fyre Festival Merch Is Being Auctioned Off Online

In the bad dream that just won’t stop that is Fyre Festival, merch from the event is now being auctioned off by US Marshals. All the confiscated merch items, including wrist bands, trackies, hoodies, and FYRE tokens are being auctioned online right now.

If you need a refresher, Fyre Festival was Billy McFarland’s luxury music festival that failed greatly and saw him be sentenced to prison for six years on fraud charges.

Now, US Marshals are auctioning off all the merch from the failed event. There’s a total of 126 items up for auction. You can pick up Fyre Festival-branded clothes, tokens, and, funniest of all a wristband that says, “A Conspiracy To Change The Entertainment Industry.”

US Marshal, Ralph Sozio said all the clothing and items that were originally intended to be sold at the festival were seized from Billy McFarland.

He said they, “Were kept by McFarland, with the intent to sell the items and use the funds to commit further criminal acts while he was on pre-trial release.”

“The proceeds from the sale of these items, all traceable to McFarland’s $26 million fraud, will go toward the victims of his crimes.”

McFarland was charged for two counts of wire fraud following Fyre Festival and was sentenced to six years in prison. He’s now apparently writing his memoir titled ‘Promythus: The God of Fyre’.

In Decemeber last year, rapper Ja Rule addressed his involvement in the festival in a track entitled ‘FYRE’ – an acronym for “For Your Real Entertainment”, which sees Ja meditating on the catastrophic festival and the aftermath that followed. Listen here below.
