‘High Fidelity’ Reboot, Starring Zoë Kravitz, Cancelled After Just One Season

Hulu’s High Fidelity reboot has been cancelled after just one season. The cast were reportedly told on Wednesday that the series wouldn’t be getting a second season.

The show was a reimagining of Nick Hornby’s 1995 book and John Cusack’s 2000 movie. It debuted on Hulu back in February, and according to NME, premiered with pretty good reviews.

Executive producer and star of the show, Zoë Kravitz posted a cute family pic to Instagram saying, “I wanna give a shout out to my #highfidelity family. thank you for all the love and heart you put into this show.”

“i’m in awe of all of you. and thank you to everyone who watched, loved and supported us,” she said, before tying off the post with, “#breakupssuck”

Back in February, the show’s creators, Veronica West and Sarah Kucerska (who executive produced alongside Kravitz) shared their long-term plan with The Hollywood Reporter.

“Hopefully there are more seasons of High Fidelity — I think our intention was that people would be rooting for different relationships and as season one progresses,” said West.

“I think we’re going to go on relationship stories and other kinds of stories with Cherise and Simon and the universe will continue to expand,” she said.
