Rich Brian has made his return today with the release of his new single, ‘Sydney’, a song deeply connected to his love of Australia.
Premiering on triple j earlier this morning, ‘Sydney’ marks the first song Rich Brian has released since he dropped his ‘1999’ EP in August of last year.
“I created ‘Sydney’ after listening to a ton of Three 6 Mafia,” Brian said in a press statement.
“The entire production of this single was heavily inspired by the hip-hop group. I also wanted to hear myself flexing about my life over some beautiful saxophone.
“I last went to Sydney on the Sailor Australia tour at the end of 2019 – the energy there was incredible both from the crowd and the amazing city. When I started rapping over this beat, Sydney was the city that naturally came to mind to flex with.”
