Between You And Me Break Two-Year Silence With ‘Supervillain’

It’s a good day for Aussie emos!! Pop punkers, Between You and Me have shared their first drop of new music in two years today and it slaps!!

‘Supervillain’ shows a different sound from the band. It’s more of a punk rock sound than that classic pop punk sound the band had been harnessing but it still goes hard.

The band’s vocalist Jake Wilson shows more grit in his vocals than in previous releases and it compliments the frantic sound of the track perfectly.

You can have a listen to ‘Supervillain’ down below.

There’s a music video coming to accompany the new single. It’ll premiere via Youtube at 5pm AEST today. You can find the video’s premiere down below as well.

While there’s been no official announcement just yet, the single comes in anticipation of Between You And Me’s second studio album.

The band shared that the album had been recorded late last year.

“2020 wasn’t the year we’d all expected,” they wrote on Instagram. “After numerous setbacks, we closed out the year by recording our sophomore LP.”

They’ve also been sharing deets on the new release on Instagram stories. In a Q&A they revealed that while the album will feature plenty of that new Between You and Me era, it’ll still have some of that OG BYAM sound.

The new album will follow on from 2018’s Everything Is Temporary

We’re so excited!!

Listen to ‘Supervillain’ and catch that video premiere below.
