Gerringong favourites The Terrys have returned with a new slice of surf punk dubbed ‘Ziggys Mine’, which features a collab with… Billabong?
Produced and mixed by Tasker (3%, Chillint, Tia Gostelow), Sticky Fingers’ Paddy Cornwall and Taras Hrubyj-Piper, the summery jam also doubles as the theme song of the band’s new 11-item merch collaboration with the Aussie surf brand.
Billabong x The Terrys – ‘Ziggys Mine’
“We were chillen at the pub after a long day of recording music when we started watching the digital dogs on the screens, and one of those dogs was called ‘Ziggy’s Mine’,” The Terrys explain in a press statement.
“We all bet the house on Ziggy because that’s the name of Finchy’s dog. Sure enough, Ziggy took the win which caused a strike of inspiration. So, we headed back to the studio and ‘Ziggy’s Mine’ was created. The vibes were at an all-time high, and in record time, the song was made in under two hours.”
It comes as the six-piece gear up to perform a double header of shows with their mates in Boo Seeka at Guruk/Port Macquarie’s Finnian’s Tavern and Garlambirla/Coffs Harbour’s The Hoey Moey before playing Chasing Tides Festival in Kiarama/Kiama, Beyond The Valley and Hay Park.
