Beloved comic actor Fred Willard has sadly passed away at the age of 86.
The star — best known for his roles in Anchorman, This Is Spinal Tap and Modern Family — died of “natural causes” on May 15, according to his representative Glenn Schwartz (via NME).
While Willard’s daughter, Hope Mulbarger, has released her own heartfelt statement, which reads: “My father passed away very peacefully last night at the fantastic age of 86 years old. He kept moving, working and making us happy until the very end. We loved him so very much! We will miss him forever.”
The actor starred in more than 300 movies and TV shows across his more than 50-year career.
RIP to a comedy legend.
