Prepare yourself because the (somehow) most cooked part of 2020 is coming back. Tiger King is getting a sequel on Netflix and it’s due to land before the end of the year.
Netflix dropped a ‘Home of True Crime’ announcement overnight, featuring the Tiger King sequel. There’s quite a bit to unpack from the only 15-second teaser.
It looks like Joe Exotic and Carole Baskin both return to the series. Baskin shows up in the snippet just before footage of a billboard appears. It reads, “Who murdered Don Lewis?* *Founder of Big Cat Rescue.”
The sign offers a $100,000 reward.
Joe Exotic is shown, on the phone in prison in the video as well. And then, a portrait of Exotic with a superimposed roaring tiger’s shadow is cast over the portrait with text that says, “The truth is unbelievable.”
Wild.
Fox Business reports that Carole Baskin said, “Rebecca Chaiklin (Tiger King Co-Director) said she wanted to ‘clean the air’ about what they did to me in ‘Tiger King.’ I told her to lose my number.”
“There is no explanation for such a betrayal and false portrayal.”
Anyway, watch the trailer below.
