The Simpsons creator Matt Groening has been working on a new show for Netflix and we’ve finally been given our first look.
The 10-episode series will debut on Netflix on 17th August and will feature Broad City’s Abbi Jacobson as the voice of the main character Bean.
Bean is accompanied by her feisty sidekick Elfo and her own demon Luci.
“Along the way, the oddball trio will encounter ogres, sprites, harpies, imps, trolls, walruses, and lots of human fools,” Netflix revealed in a statement.
It’s the first time Groening has worked on a major series like this since Futurama. He’s working with a team of writers that includes A.B. Original MC Briggs.
Briggs took to Twitter to talk about the series writing, “I was lucky enough to work a little bit on [Disenchantment] w/ some extraordinarily talented people.”
“Can’t wait for you all to see it. It’s groin grabblingly good.”
We don’t have a trailer just yet but there are a number of still images surfacing that give an insight into what to expect.
