Nicolas Cage Is Set To Host ‘History Of Swear Words’ On Netflix

Nicolas Cage is set to host a new Netflix series called History of Swear Words, where each episode unpacks the history behind the swear word. The series will run for six episodes and look at “fuck,” “shit,” “bitch,” “dick,” “pussy” and “damn”.

So each episode will see Cage interview historians, etymologists and other entertainers. Guests lined up for the series include Nick Offerman, Sarah Silverman, Baron Vaughn, Isiah Whitlock Jr., Jim Jefferies, Baron Vaughn, and more.

We already have a trailer for series. It teases the “pussy” episode and sees Nicolas Cage introduce the word.

“Look one way and you see a gentle, feline innocence. Look another way and, oh my. Yes, it has the power the stir our souls and intoxicate our minds. Men have died for it, women have moved in with each other way too soon for it. And to fully capture its essence, we must plunge, unafraid, deep within its enchanted garden.”

“Feast your eyes upon the very house of life and death, the very temple of sexuality. And a term for that kid too afraid to play dodgeball in gym class. Behold,” says Nicolas Cage dramatically as the camera pans to the word “pussy”.

“It also could be a cat.”

Cage has also recently been slated to play Joe Exotic in a Tiger King miniseries.

Nicolas Cage’s History of Swear Words arrives Tuesday, 5th January next year.
