The idea of a Star Wars Land actually existing was once the stuff of a fevered dream, or at least something that wouldn’t happen in this galaxy any time soon, but judging by a questioner handed out to recent punters at Disneyland, such a crazy idea Star Wars Land may not be.
We all know the story by now – Disney bought Star Wars and plans to release further editions of the franchise with the first untitled, J.J Abrams directed film expected for 2015. In the meantime, Disney’s Imagineers are going to be hard at work bringing the action to life.
Previously, it was let slip that Disneyland Paris would be dedicating some room to Star Wars Land. Disneyland Tokyo is way ahead of the game – that particular brand isn’t under the direct control of Disney and, according to Mashable, could be opening their Star Wars Land as soon as May.
Speculation is at an all-time high after people reported being handed a questionnaire with questions including “How interested (on a scale of 1 to 10) would you be in visiting a Star Wars-themed Land at the Disneyland Resort?” which is a pretty dead giveaway.
Disney World is already hosting Star Wars Weekends which, judging by the below clip, looks cheesy as fuck. But GODDAMMIT I want to go to there.
All signs point to the theme park opening in 2015 with the release of Star Wars Episode VII.
