The Simpsons marked their 500th Episode and continuing progress into the twilight of the relevance this past week with an episode that featured a cameo from beleaguered Wikileaks mastermind Julian Assange. Assange meets the family after they’ve been ejected from Springfield for all the trouble they’ve caused over the years, the skit making light of Assange’s defence of privacy and free speech with lines such as: “That’s my personal information and you have no right to know about it!” in response to Bart asking how he’s doing.
Currently under house arrest in Britain awaiting the decision of seven Supreme Court Justices in regards to his extradition to Sweden on sexual assault charges, Assange recorded his voice part at a secret location outside of London.
