The 411:

Yorke, real name Grace Hughes, is a Byron-based indie-pop artist creating infectious, bubbly tunes. She first showed up on the scene back in 2018 with her single ‘First Light’. Since then, we received her debut EP Liberosis which is this amazingly produced, hooky AF offering. Before its release though, Yorke had scored herself support slots with the likes of Lewis Capaldi and Ruel. She’s also found herself offering vocals to Paces’ ‘Vertigo’ and Kilter’s ‘Overdrive’. Just today, she shared her new single ‘Gravity’, an anthemic, deceptively buoyant pop gem about doomed romance.

Friday, 16th October

Our Review:

Yorke has this knack for combining these amazing, animated hooks with brooding lyrics. Meanwhile, her songs build and intensify in a really satisfying way. The production offers up this super chill but upbeat vibe while the vocals are just a serious treat on the ears.
