Melbourne outfit Big Words certainly have that soul factor and they’re bringing it out in force with their latest single, ‘Miss Your Mind’.
With twinkling keys, a steady bass, shimmering production and the one-two punch of soulful vocals from singers William Scullin and Kieren Lee, ‘Miss Your Mind’ is another infectious jam from the Melbourne outfit who have been cutting their teeth in the live music scene for some time now.
According to the band, the song is a tender ode to friendship and the struggles that sometimes come with it. “‘Miss Your Mind’ was the first song written off our upcoming EP. Although it sounds like a funky character, it’s actually really a tender song about two friends and collaborators clashing,” Will Scullin tells Music Feeds. “Writing the song was kind of [mine] and Kieren’s way of making up. We wanted a constant reminder of how powerful our friendship can be. It’s definitely a song to dance to and cherish your homies.”
Big Words will play an already sold out Melbourne show tonight which will also be live-streamed on their Facebook page and will head to Sydney this Saturday for a show at Botany View Hotel in Newtown.
