Melbourne outfit Halcyon Drive have returned with a throbbing new alt-pop gem dubbed ‘The Birds’, and it’s making its debut right here on Music Feeds.
Living up to its name, the first taste from the trio’s upcoming debut album soars above the heavens, intricately layering huge melodies over slick lashings of production guided by the hand of legendary Perth producer Joel Quartermain (Meg Mac, Dustin Tebbutt, ELKI).
To punctuate the release of ‘The Birds’, Halcyon Drive are also taking flight across the east coast, returning to the stage to perform eight new live dates across September and October, when they’ll give fans in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Wollongong, Brisbane, Maroochydore and Gold Coast a chance to soak up a taste of the “unique sonic sphere” that is their upcoming debut LP.
‘The Birds’ is out on Friday, 25th August, but you can stream the track below, alongside Halcyon Drive’s full list of tour dates.
