Australian-born producer Hansaa has been honing his skills in the LA music scene for a few years now, cementing a rep for himself as a purveyor of smooth, lush, RnB-tinged electronica and his latest single ‘Primavera’ is the next evolution in the Hansaa canon.
The smokey track was produced alongside LA duo soso and lays the honeyed vocals of Peruvian-born, LA-based RnB artist A.CHAL over warm, crackling beats and subtle but alluring bass lines. “Primavera translates to springtime,” explains Vinay Matta, the man behind Hansaa. “In a nutshell, the song is about trying to rekindle the memories of a past relationship, yet coming to the conclusion that unfortunately, no flame is going to spark.”
“I was hanging out with a girl I used to date in freshman year, and she was showing me A.CHAL’s debut album Gazi – and it caught my ear straight away,” adds Hansaa about the process behind finding his guest vocalist. “soso and myself ended up emailing his management the instrumental and he was vibing. A.CHAL is an artist that intertwines the hypnotic and the mysterious elements of songwriting, and takes you into a dream-sequence of a person reflecting on their past in a corrupt city.”
Hansaa has currently been splitting his time between LA and Sydney, locking away many studio hours. Expect more to come from the talented producer.
