Sydney-based indie rockers PLANET have unveiled the visuals for their latest heartfelt single ‘Aching Dream’, today premiering an emotional, black and white video that encapsulates the tune’s wistful and passionate sentiment. If the song hits you straight in the feels (it does) then this video completes that one-two punch.
“We wanted to go for a clip that was essentially pretty stripped back with a lot of focus on the lyrics,” explains guitarist Tom Peppitt. “We bounced a few ideas off each other and it ended up really smooth. We are all happy with how this one turned out – directed by our good mate and absolute legend, Sam Brumby.”
According to the band, the song and its video were both realised thanks to a little bit of coastal inspiration – the song was born out of time spent at a friend’s rehearsal space in Gosford on the NSW Central Coast and the video was edited over a few days in Wollongong’s picturesque Stanwell Park, a town Peppitt describes as “one of the most beautiful places I’ve been this year”.
PLANET will be taking the new track out for a spin at a series of shows this month. Their debut EP is expected later this year.
