The EP opens with the dreamy song “My Mistake (Again)” with summery guitar and bold drums. Abbey’s sweet and powerful song explores the ease of returning to an old relationship, even if it’s not a healthy one.

The EP then gets “Shot in the Dark,” a catchy pop beat with bouncy backing vocals and tender vocals that channel insecurities to give a relationship another chance.”Constellations” follows strummed guitar and romantic lyrics, telling the story of saying goodbye to a loved one.

“Darling” offers a softer side with gentle acoustic guitar and subtly pulsating drums that explore the fears and joys of falling in love. “Stuck in this Moment” opens with slow acoustic guitar and electronic drums and builds into a fast song about cherishing the good moments in a relationship.

The last song ‘State of Mind’ is an addictive dose of indie rock, full of emotional vocals and intense guitar and drums. It describes the transition from lovers to acquaintances

Abbey Lane will release her debut EP at 3 Wise Monkeys in Sydney today, followed by a tour in July and August.
